We currently have five elected councillors working for you across the Colne Valley constituency:

Crosland Moor and Netherton ward

Councillor Mohammed SarwarMohammed Sarwar has been working as a councillor in
Crosland Moor and Netherton for over ten years.

Labour Councillor Erin HillErin Hill was elected for the first time on 22 May 2014.
Erin brings a wise and youthful voice to the council
representing the views of young people and remaining
alert to the needs of every age. Erin completed her 
Master’s degree at the University of Huddersfield in 2016.

 Manisha Roma Kaushik was elected for the first time on 5 May 2016,
following the retirement of Molly Walton (see below).

Colne Valley ward

Rob Walker was elected for the first time on 5 May 2016.Rob_Walker.jpg
Born & bred in the valley, Rob's concern for the
environment goes hand in hand with a belief that we
need a fairer more equal society. Rob is the first
Labour councillor for Colne Valley ward since 1987.

Golcar ward

Richards_H.jpgHilary Richards was first elected in 2011 after taking
the seat from the Liberal democrats. Hilary has since
been involved in many community projects across her
ward including the Golcar Together group.

Hilary is a governor at St Johns School in the ward.

And for those who have noticed a change in Crosland Moor and Netherton...

Cllr Molly Walton was first elected in 1989 and has served the local community for over 25 years. Molly recently received a merit award from the party for services to the community. She retired in 2016 and has been succeeded by Crosland Moor and Netherton's newest Labour councillor Manisha Roma Kaushik (see above).
