Rob Walker

Rob Walker is Chair of Kirklees Environmental Partnership.  Rob's concern for the environment goes hand in hand with a belief that we need a fairer more equal society.  The constituency party as a whole is highly committed to sustainability.

Rob believes that global warming threatens our very future. We have to take local action in Kirklees. His other key concern is tackling local, national and global inequality.

Even with Kirklees facing massive cuts,  Rob feels there is a great opportunity to invest in better housing, public transport infrastructure, green energy technology and healthier lifestyles.
Labour In Kirklees will:
-Promote tree planting  and growing local  food
-Create and protect more urban green space ·
-Improve our housing stock to become more energy efficient ·
-Work to reduce traffic congestion and provide better public transport
-Encourage supermarkets to provide healthier food and reduce food waste. Rob Walker
